For over 30 years Alkasystems have been successfully used to feed animals by creating alkaline characteristics in cereal crop materials Alkalage®, Alkagrain® and Alkastraw® by harnessing the ammonia release technology of Home n’ Dry®.

Creating an alkaline, air stable cereal forage, with optimum levels of DM, starch and energy really is this simple! ALKALAGE retains 10 to 20% more of the harvested material in the clamp compared to fermentation based systems.

Alkalage is a unique combinable ready cereal forage which is high starch, high levels of structural and digestible fibre, alkaline and with increased protein. When incorporated into a balanced diet it will improve rumen health and function, leading to improved performance and overall animal health.
